and I waited

What was going on
In that pretty little mind
but instead
you pushed me off
and you wasted my time

All those things I said
all those words in my head
all that love that I gave to you
now its clear what it all meant to you

I simply loved you more
I crossed my heart and I swore
that someday I would make you happy
but the promise is all but broken
and my heart is gone, all but stolen
I can't ever get it back because
I guess I loved you more.

I tried building
bridges over all of the walls
I tried healing
all of the burning scars
But you didn't want me at all

I touch,
and I understand.
I taste stress in your sweat,
tension stretched on the surface,
so visible
in the landscape of your
back.
I feel
knots in your muscles,
like pearls under
satin.
I'll untie the ropes
and kiss the blank
red ribbons
of your broad brow
and I'll write
you letters
on my chest,
things like silver lies
and soft secrets,
and wires of frigid truth
because the truth is
my very
skin
demands you.

be a body
and let our bodies
juxtapose like slow jazz
and your fragile ears.

MemoriesI remember lying in bed with you, longing for a deeper connection. You would always sleep with your back to me, in an almost fetal position, as if you were physically guarding your heart. All I wanted was to touch those scars that ran down the center of your chest, but you told me you were not okay with someone else's heart beating within you so I let it be. The look in your eyes when you woke up in the morning; the sleepy surrealness of a dream playing at the corner of your lips, and the early morning light goldenly surrounding your messy hair like a halo was enough to quench any thirst I had for you. GravityI fell in love with gravity,
with the euphoric sensation
of lifeless flight,
with the cobblestone streets
at the sun's slow setting
that beckoned to me
like shimmering orange diamonds
like light from a smoldering
gold fire
that seemed to rise from  
the cracks of hell
like hungry hot hands
that grappled at my most
selfish desires.

Was it selfish of me?
I close my eyes,
and nod off the guilt
But I don't go around fire
expecting not to smell like smoke.

And when the force embraced me
I let out my breath
because what more am I
but a bag of surprised,
useless
air?

Nothing
happened as I gasped
right there and I bled
tears of joy
because finally
Why?Tell me, why do I play with the sound of your name at night?
Why do I savor the syllables as they hover off of my mouth?
Why do I close my eyes and think about what would happen if I just up
and kissed you?

Why do I paint these vivid pieces in my head
these zealous images of your lips, your hips
the artful incline of your nose, and cheeks, and acorn eyes.

Why do I crave any form of affection from you?
A subconscious touch on the arm,
a brush of hands in the hallway
And on the most beautiful of days,
a hug.

Why is it that I thirst of something from you--
anything at all,
when I know deep down inside that this idea of
you and me

are sticks and stones
and they will surely kill me
Souls of GreySpirits glow,
Tracing the lines of a dead Heaven
Waiting and watching
For the clouds to swell
And kiss the very seams that
Keep our worlds from tearing apart and twisting
into a hurricane of false "I love you's" and
hollow promises.
The very same promises that bound you
to the silver docks of loneliness
where you sat, hands tied behind your back
As seagulls and swans
dashed and danced in the
grey wind.
I remember finding you here,
Naked legs, watery eyes, and quivering lips
Whispering the names of past and future lovers,
telling a tale as sharp as the bible
but as short as the four letter word.
And when I kissed your forehe
What A Man WantsSix tender feet tall,
striking
like fresh purple lightning.
Crawl your way into
my craft,
my veins,
my breath
like a lady
bug me the way a flower
gently nudges the side
of an old orchard tree
in august winds
Pulling  at the protective
film of my brain
Immortalizing my skin,
Industrializing my heart,
and taking away what
I want to be and
making me into who I am to become.

Walk away
backwards
because you can't stand
to look away
but look this way and
you'll understand
that I've walked two moons
in your moccasins
and I've played with
spears, and guns,
and hate
and I've realized that
its not for me.

Nicotine and morphine
morph closer to death

The light pollution is
blinding the world's fathers
the world is getting closer
and the sun is getting hotter

And Heaven's gates never
seemed so real
when you exhale nirvana
to help yourself heal

Now listen to the records
back flipping through circles
drown ou
Paper PlanesScribble the words
and your thoughts
on paper
let them be swords
that cut along the edges
no sooner will I read them
no later will I be blind
but if your lips touch
the leafy skin of your canvas
I'll happily know
that there is deeper meaning
behind
every
single
word
let the literary demons
possess you,
let them loose in
your ink
in
your graphite
and lights out!

when you're done,
take your delicate hands
and fold.

until your satisfied,

cranes cut my skin,
paper cuts are the price we pay
to see a safe haven with
our words
they soar like ships

Stars You breathed in the robust idea of being alone
in the milky way with nothing on your back
but the silk cloth of skin
and you exhaled the heroic sovereignty of saving
the poor polluted starlight,
cradling sweet nothings about how those
luminous explosions in the sky were
the iridescent threads and ribbons
that kept our planets gently knit together.

You told me the galaxy was filled
with incandescent jewels
things like topaz encrusted souls
and cosmic layers of adoration made of
bright celestial spirits.
You had whispered your final
words with the quiet sublteness
of a moon just passing by,
saying or rather deciding that
"Stars are

I think of a taller, physically stronger girl. She has light skin and dark brown long hair as well as dark brwon eyes. She probably plays a sport like volleyball or softball and she may even be a dancer. She started smoking cigarettes ata young age probably at 16. Her dad left when she was 13 and her mother gives her lots of attention. Her stepdad gets on her nerves and she doesn't have much interest in dating, althouhg boys are often drawn to her carefree nature and her ability to not overreact to just about anything. She doesn't have much interest in school or academics. She really just wants to live out in the country and not have to work for everything for the rest of her life, but don't mistake her as lazy: She's willing to work hard for what she wants to achieve, but she ants that to be it--just one good, strong go and then she wants to be set. The Birth of WaterThe clouds swelled and strolled across the sky like great grey whales making an annual trek across a placid black ocean. Wind, the force that was herding the clouds along, was also nipping and pinching frigidly at the bare skin of my back. The skies blinked once--twice in a row, a three second show of purple light. My head tilted back, my eyebrows lifted like kites on my face. I watched the sky with eager longing. Another flash of purple lightning. Mother Nature was teasing me. The clouds were pregnant with the ocean's child, and I was humbly waiting, shirtless in the parking lot, for them to give birth to the desert rain.

Hey.

You walk in.

I've imagined moments like this.
I've day dreamed of times where we would be in some ubiquitous room,
and we would be alone,
and I would say something romantic,
and you would kiss me like you never did.

You walk by.

I had a real dream that we got married in the sky.
The clouds had been transformed into air balloons,
and your chest started to glow as I said my vows,
and your eyes had stolen the key to the sky
along with all of its electricity on a saturday morning.

You sit down.

Next to me is where I want you to be at night.
I lay in bed, caressing the empty space next to me,
wondering if you think of me as much as I think about you,
knowing the answer is no,
but still entertaining the idea
still playing with the possibilities.

You smile at me.

Those eyes can bring me into another world.
A world where I can hold you as the weather shifts outside,
a world where you are the princess,
and I am the prince, a royal servent.
A world where I can erase the hurt you so carefully hide.
a world where we can both be genuinely happy.

My lips part.

I want to tell you all of this.
About how much I care,
and how much I love you.
I want to tell you how I spend every waking moment thinking about you,
dreaming about you.
The three words swell and inflate in my throat
and flaot up to the gate of my teeth,
forming at the wall of my lips.
I almost yeild to the emotions that
threaten to bring me to one knee,
but my brain is quick to react.

Just a little something I wrote, bored and frustrated in math class.

I'm not sure how to catergorize it. It was originally a poem, but I decided it was too long to be writwn in that format. Although it'll be the first not poetry format to be put into a poetry folder, but...

I don't know. Its a wolrd of peaches, but we all manage to make applesauce.

EDIT: I decided to put it back into poetry form. It looks a little more...well fed.

This is so, so good... I think that sometimes for girls it's hard to even imagine guys' thoughts when they just say "Hey", but now I guess I'm a bit more clued in <3
